Outstanding Performance

Ever experienced our innovative DeskRT codec in action? Low Latency and high Framerates are critical for working remotely. Don’t wait for your remote desktop to respond - even at high screen resolutions or low bandwidths of just 100 kB/s.

ANYDESK Slow performance (and other remote control software) Hello everyone, has anyone encountered extremely slow problems in using Anydesk or TeamViewer (especially with Anydesk) to remotely control the Intel NUC? Basically I installed Anydesk on the NUC 8 Series with i5 and 16 GB of RAM, everything runs perfectly, even the 4K go that is a marvel, but if I try to connect from another device to the NUC that has Anydesk, it goes ultra slow. There is a 8- to 10-second delay, the Android screen is extremely pixelated, and the connection freezes if I try to control the phone from the Mac. 20mbps+ on both ends. No such issues with TeamViewer. Also AnyDesk won’t disconnect when frozen and CMD+Q doesn’t quit.

Anydesk Extremely Slow Transfer

  • Handle rendering problems by selecting a lower rendering mode in the options tab. Go to Main Menu Settings Display Hardware Acceleration, default is Direct3D. For render problems try DirectDraw first, only disable hardware acceleration if no other.
  • Since internet connections always impose a certain latency when transmitting data from one PC to the other, it is very important that AnyDesk adds as little as possible to the bill. In local networks, AnyDesks latency lies below 16 milliseconds and is no longer.

Rendering

Default Renderer is Direct3D. Performance is best in full screen mode.Render Performance is highly dependent on the graphics card. If the session has poor performance, check whether another program occupies too much GPU resources. HD-Video streaming during session consumes high bandwidth and lowers performance. You can free GPU resources for AnyDesk by going to full screen mode or by minimizing the interfering application.

Why Is Anydesk So Slow

Hardware Acceleration

Handle rendering problems by selecting a lower rendering mode in the options tab. Go to >> Main Menu >> Settings >> Display >> Hardware Acceleration, default is Direct3D. For render problems try DirectDraw first, only disable hardware acceleration if no other option worked.

Fullscreen

Display Settings

Full Screen mode is enabled by selecting Full Screen in the session settings.Render performance is best in full screen mode using Direct3D (default). AnyDesk gains exclusive access to the GPU in Full Screen Mode providing latency near the monitors reaction time. As a trade off, tearing may appear.

Note: Direct3D Rendering gains exclusive rights to the GPU for a single display. Hence multiple sessions on several displays can only have one display in fullscreen mode. The second session must be in windowed Mode. To have serveral seperate sessions on multiple displays switch the rendering mode to DirectDraw.

Note:

  • Applications that also access the network can lead to slower transmission.
  • No hardware acceleration is not recommended and will reduce performance.
  • Direct3D is not available on Windows XP.
  • Windows Server, Windows 7 without Aero and Windows XP require Mirror Driver to increase render performance. See also Mirror Driver
